Austria offers over 400 ski resorts reaching up to 3440 m, a total of 7230.6 km of slopes, breath-taking views, great conditions and many other attractions. Among the most popular ski resorts are Albach, Saalbach, St Anton, Arlberg, Solden, Ischgl, Mayrhofen, Serfaus Innsbruck. Each of ski resorts can offer a different attraction. While Albach is a perfect choice for beginners, Saalbah may offer great slopes for intermediates and St Anton for advanced skiers. Some ski resorts can boast intimate and romantic ambience, other are a place of never-ending parties or even give a good infrastructure and failities for whole families.
Arlberg region is known as the cradle of Alpine skiing. More than 100-year skiing tradition made this area very unique and famous. It is the largest connected ski resort in Austria. Skiers and snowboarders can enjoy 305 km of slopes and 200 km of ski routes. The winter sports area is located at the elevations between 1,270 and 2,811 m. The Arlberg ski resort consist of several charming villages: St. Anton, St. Christoph, Stuben, Lech, Zürs, Warth, Schröcken. Not only may Arlberg region boast perfect winter conditions, but also Alpine hospitality and exquisite gastronomy.
Sölden a ski resort of international reputation. Winter sport fun lovers can breath deeply at the height more than 3000 metres and enjoy skiing downhill on perfectly groomed slopes. Ski resort offers 144.2 km of slopes and 1.9 km of ski routes and snow reliability from October to May (thanks to its high altitude and its glaciers). Solden is a place of the annual Alpine Ski World Cup Opening.
